Teleswallowing and myAko are proud to offer two new dysphagia courses designed and narrated by Dr Liz Boaden, Fellow of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists, using her 30 years of experience delivering dysphagia training.

Dr Boaden has designed the training - Teleswallowing to be commensurate with Level 1 and Level 4 of the Eating, drinking and swallowing competency framework (revised 2020) which she co-authored.

Level 1 - Eating, Drinking & Swallowing

Relevant for
All individuals caring for people with eating, drinking & swallowing difficulties.
Aims
To improve the knowledge and understanding of the signs and symptoms of swallowing difficulties in order to improve resident, patient and customer care and help prevent avoidable deaths.
Course
3 modules and 10 minutes e-Learning with detailed course handouts and guides. Receive additional support materials once you have completed the learning.

Bonus content

More than just an excellent digital learning course, the learner receives additional downloadable support materials developed by Dr Liz Boaden, this includes guides for each course and assessment forms, with optional extras in the form of Virtual Q&A sessions & Digital dysphagia sessions.

Level 4 - Becoming a Teleswallowing / Telehealth Partner

Relevant for
Trained Nurses and experience Senior Carers
Aims
To improve the knowledge and skills which a trained nurse needs when caring for people with dysphagia. It provides clinical training to identify changes in swallow function, make short-term alterations to the eating and drinking plan of individuals (within defined local agreements) and assist in remote speech and language therapy assessments.
Course
3 modules of 10 minutes e-Learning with detailed course handouts and guides. Receive additional support materials once you have completed the learning.
